Letter to the Editors

Pat

pen and inkThank you so much for this web site, I am now 50 years old and can't begin to tell you what my life has been like. From as early as 3 - 4 years old I knew I was different than others but it took over 40 years to find out why, and the challenges I went through. Going to school was something else. When I was in the fifth grade I was labeled, with one of the first IQ tests that came out, and I can remember how my life changed when the teachers told my family I had an IQ of only 78. I was in "Special Classes" from then on.

To make a long story short, I am now trying to get the education I couldn't get at a younger age, I have attended college off and on for almost 10 years. I am now going very seriously, to get a degree in Social Work, with hopes of working with girls and women that are disadvantaged and also to share my story and get the word out about ADD. Thanks.
