McNeil Consumer & Specialty Pharmaceuticals has launched a nationwide scholarship essay contest, grounded in celebrating everyday successes, that can help offset the cost of higher education for more than 200 children with AD/HD. The CONCERTA® "I See Success" AD/HD Scholarship Contest gives parents, caregivers, and other adults an opportunity to recognize the academic, extra-curricular, and/or social achievements of a child with AD/HD. Any child aged six to 18 with diagnosed AD/HD, regardless of his or her treatment plan, can be nominated for the contest. An adult who knows the child completes an entry form and writes an essay of 250 words or less describing how and why the child has been able to cope with the disorder and how he/she has improved and succeeded in academics, personal interactions, and/or extracurricular activities. The entry form is signed by the child's parent or legal guardian, and, to document the diagnosis, by the child's physician. Nominations will be accepted until December 1, 2003; winners will be announced by February 1, 2004. Please visit www.concerta.net or call/write 1-888-440-7903 for entry forms and official rules. The CONCERTA "I See Success" AD/HD Scholarship Contest is in full compliance with the Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. Next: Artist of the Month >>
